Cantilevered scaffold with adjoining temporary roof, St Neots.
The brief
An independent cantilevered scaffold that progressed into an adjoining temporary roof.
What we did
We first erected a cantilevered scaffold for a steep re-roof, doubling the width of the structure to compensate for the cantilever's weight and keeping it freestanding and clear of the roof, since the client wasn't able to walk the roof safely. As work progressed, we erected and tied in a second scaffold built as a temporary roof over another part of the house — cantilevering the same way on one half while leaving the other half clear — and wrapped it in monoflex for weather protection.
